In some, the camera is situated close to your character, and you must defeat one or two opponents just as you would in a fighting game. If the thought of acquiring all these goodies isn't enough to motivate you, you're out of luck because the gameplay itself is wholly unrewarding. You're regularly given the chance to use points earned for completing missions to purchase movies, music, and character artwork as well. You also unlock new ninja jutsu attacks and tactics that you can activate to enhance attributes like attack power and speed. As you progress from mission to mission, you frequently unlock new characters you can use in both the Master Road and other modes.
NARUTO ULTIMATE NINJA HEROES 3 SERIES
The Master Road is presented as a series of squares along which you move cute little animated Narut. Even special moves can be executed by hitting Triangle first, then Circle. Besides basic movement, jumps and wall runs, players can perform all their attacks simply by pressing the Circle button. In Ultimate Ninja Heroes 3 Narut, players select one of their favorite characters out of the Naru Shippuden story arc and battle on a series of dual-stage arenas.
These two, however, are fated to be together for life.Although the game takes place on a 2D plane, players can teleport between the foreground and background at their leisure. I do also have another Naruto game, the one featuring the princess from the Moon Village or something like that but somehow I can't find my umd. Overall I would say I did have fun replaying Ultimate Ninja Heroes 3. The character collectibles are rather expensive. It didn't take me long to finish the game, but if you do wish to complete the entire set of collectibles, you might have to play over a few times to save up enough points for them. Some missions allow multiplayers, and at that time I think it was a new feature? The battle mode features multiplayers too. Gaara is pretty strong too, it's just that he is rather slow, so. For Combo missions though, I suggest you take Kiba, his Fang over Fang easily stacks the combo points. I love using Deidara during the earlier chapters, his special skill is the C2 Dragon, which is hella awesome because I don't have to go too close to the opponent for the skill to hit. Those missions took me a few tries to complete. Even if you do manage to defeat the opponent, without reaching the 20 hit combo, you still fail the mission. The Speed Missions are where you have to reach the goal within the given time period, and the Story ones are just conversation placeholders.ĭuring missions, there are also certain goals you have to complete, for example, a 20 hit combo. As the name suggests, the Battle type is where you have to win a battle to proceed. There are only three different types while in Story mode: Battle, Speed Mission, and Story. And Kakashi isn't as weak as he is now, so it is a good way to reminisce about Naruto's earlier days. I don't really mind the fact that I'm playing through an old arc, since I get to see the older characters in action. (Isn't Sasuke's voice just eargasmic? If you don't think so, you can't be my friend.) I love playing Sasuke's story mode, if only because he speaks a lot for his route. You play as Naruto for the first few chapters of the story mode, and after completing that, you unlock Sasuke's story mode. But then again, I've had this game for an age, so Gaara's kidnapping might have been quite fresh when I bought the umd.
I rather like the story split between Naruto and Sasuke, but gameplay takes you through the one of the earliest arcs- the part where Gaara gets kidnapped. They're quite easy to earn, all you have to do is complete the missions. But of course, you have to first unlock the multiple different characters.Īs you progress through the Story mode, you have to save up enough points to 'buy' Ninjutsu, Skills, and Collectibles. Then there is the battle mode where you can choose your own character to battle against the rest of the selection. Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Heroes 3 is a rather simple game there is the story mode, where you progress through the series as either Naruto or Sasuke. But no matter, that is a rant for another time. I'm a huge fan of the Naruto series, though I must confess, my love for the series has gone down after I've caught up with the latest development.
